With Suya street food sizzling on the grill; roasted corn and boli (roasted plantains) tantalizing your nose and rendering your tongue to drools, you hear:

"Oya aunty come back na". "Well done ma". "Mommy come and buy from us. We have plenty plenty."

Oh the beckons to shop and haggle along within the hustle of a bustling market

The glory of the Ankara fabric comes as a statement and a staple. Donned on high-fashion runways and a hit for wedding aso-ebis; it remains unrivaled for the hot and dusty market woman. A secure wrapper for the baby who finds comfort tied on her back.

This print is inspired by a vintage pattern from my mom's collection. I'm pretty certain she's used it to "back" or babywear many who called her mommy or aunty. And she probably wore it to the market too, where she was certainly addressed in the same manner.
